THE BLACK WIZARDS (PT)
Along a hazy path into the sonic abyss, The Black Wizards will immerse us in their swirling plumes of mind-expanding, riff-driven and blues-infused psychedelia, for the first time in Norway.
A myriad of thick, fuzzy interwoven hooks, explosively mad guitar solos and swinging grooves from the undulating rhythm section are blissfully punctuated by bluesy and reverb-rich vocals which flex from serenely sensual to passionate belting. Mystical and multi-layered atmospherics abound through persistently accomplished composition rather than raucous abstraction for mere trippiness' sake. Maximum tripping does in fact occur at the hands of The Black Wizards, but with an elegantly sure aura of true musicianship and effortless soul.
