Gösta Berlings Saga... a glorious name.
Even though they’ve been going on for 15 years, they might not be the most familiar band to all of you, but not for long.
These Swedes have fun while playing. It shows so clearly. They fool around with all kinds of sounds, from electronic house beats, overly distorted bass, proggy chord progressions and dark, spaced out atmospheres… you name it .
BUT – they never lose control. It’s a breath of fresh air, like a surprise visit from an old friend who shows you his musical accomplishments since last time, boiled down to one song.
That’s how we feel Gösta Berlings Saga works its magic. It’s the musical life of all members, boiled down to one band, one sound… As you might understand they’re a hard to describe, but one thing is not hard, and it’s the given quality of their output. This will be one of those gigs next year.
